The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship, The work given was appropriate to our time scales. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and senior leaders were more than happy to take time out of their busy day to meet with you to discuss their role within the company. Living with fellow interns made the experience even better.
All colleagues made a massive effort to make me feel welcome and appreciated.
I was given a very good support structure throughout my entire internship. I had regular catch ups with my line managers to ensure I was coping sufficiently with the work load I was given. I also had more general support from the internship programme manager and campus team who were always available to ask questions too.
Throughout my internship I was given a number of projects to work towards and achieve. I was given relatively free range on my projects and how to go about achieving this. Alongside this we were encouraged to meet with senior leaders to find out more about other areas of the business.
I was given a good level of responsibility throughout my internship. I was trusted to work independently on my projects and take any necessary actions or investigations that were relevant to my project. I would report back to my manager on a regular basis to update them of any developments.
I was given great opportunities to improve my presentation skills through workshops and training which we were then able to utilise in an end of internship presentation. These skills I will now be able to use in my university studies. I became much more effective at time management which will be beneficial for my whilst undertaking my dissertation.
The Company
The general atmosphere in the office was very welcoming and friendly. Everyone was very social and willing to talk to you. The open plan nature of the office meant we were able to build relationships with the leaders of our teams as they were sat amongst us which was really enjoyable.
The whole internship was really well organised. At the beginning of our work placement we were given two induction days where we learnt more about the company and where to go if we faced any problems throughout our internship. We were also given the chance to meet our managers. It continued to be well organised throughout my time there.
The company invested heavily in its interns. I was given lots of training to be able to complete the projects I was given. The company and senior leaders invested heavily in developing us over the 10 weeks we were there for. Leaders also gave us the opportunity to meet with them to learn more about their role.

There were great opportunities for future employment prospects. Throughout the internship we were aware that there was the potential to be offered a place on the graduate scheme at the end of our placement. I was fortunate to be offered a place on the graduate scheme and have accepted the job for next year.
The Culture
There was a really good social scene amongst placement students. I lived with fellow interns which made the placement even better as we all became very good friends. There was also a good effort from current and ex graduates to include the interns in their social circle.
Was quite expensive living in Brighton
It was good
