    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • A great taster of what it would be like to work in law. Vacation scheme students were warmly welcomed by employees of all levels who always found time to offer advice or provide help.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Both partners and trainees made a real effort to find worthwhile work for us to do. Despite coming from a non-law background I was made to feel part of the team and could see that my work was contributing to the bigger picture..

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The combination of supervisor and buddy allowed for both passive observation and active involvement. Trainees also kept interns up to date with extra-curricular activities firm-wide..

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • A few quiet patches that were more than made up for by the comprehensive lecture schedule and ongoing research project

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Considering a complete lack of experience I could not have asked for (/handled) more..

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Provided a much better idea of what to expect from a training contract than the ubiquitous generic shiny brochures

    5/5
