  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Thoroughly enjoyable experience.

  • Received constant positive feedback from all colleagues, making me feel like part of the Finance "Family"

  • Manager extremely approachable to give support and guidance throughout my placement year.

  • Work balanced throughout the year.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • In addition to daily operational work, I was given responsibility for numerous reviews within the Bank. I took on an additional reporting roll within the team in my managers absence.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Developed accounting skills which I hope to continue building on (through professional qualifications) after my degree. IT skills also further developed due to some of the tasks that I undertook. General work ethic will no doubt have a positive influence on my studies.

  • Good atmoshere within the office.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Application process clear to understand. Once I started a full timetable was provided so we knew what we were doing and when we were doing it - Very helpful.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Training was provided on all of the Bank's systems. In addition a course was provided to give an understanding to how the city works as a whole and an additional visit to Lloyds of London.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Unfortunately there is no placement role within the sub division of Finance I was located in. Would definitely look at the possibility of coming back to the Bank of England though.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Would have been more if I wasn't travelling in long distances each day in.

  • Lived at home, Reading.

  • Plenty of nightlife in London.
