The Role
When I was given work to do people were very good in explaining what to do and how it fitted in the wider picture. Some of it was quite mundane but understandable as I was just an intern. Everyone was friendly and happy to help.
It was clear that they valued the internship program as a way to get new graduates and as there were only 2 other interns in my office they were always grateful for help.
The work I was given was always explained fully and no one had any trouble with me asking for more help.
I was kept quite busy though it did take a while to get going as there was much to learn
Not really any responsibility as such because the work was always checked to make sure I'd done it right.
I learnt programing, new software that I hadn't heard before and a lot of new practices. If I choose to go into this industry it will be invaluable.
The Company
Everyone was pretty laid back and friendly even when they had tight deadlines or stressful days. The organized training days always included something less intense to do (like table football!!)
Very well organized, the training they gave us was obviously well thought out and helped a lot.
Lots of training, insight days and a chance to meet senior leadership in a relaxed environment
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
The work/life balance seems to be one of the best around in the industry and the people have been really nice to work with. The actual day to day work seems to get more interesting the further you progress.
The Culture
Exams results drinks, trips to the pub and meals out all took place during my internship and everyone seemed very friendly.
London prices so not being able to afford much comes with the territory
Very good, lots of bars, pubs and nightclubs nearby
There were company cricket matches and football teams that you can join if that's your thing
