Join Our Early Careers Programme
Are you ready to be part of a global digital community that’s at the forefront of the energy transition? The Graduate High-Performance Computing (HPC) Programme at BP offers a unique opportunity to kick-start your career, working on cutting-edge technologies to help provide affordable, reliable, and lower-carbon energy to the world.
This programme is part of BP’s One Digital Early Careers programme, designed to nurture the next generation of digital talent. By joining, you’ll contribute to innovations that support BP’s mission to achieve net-zero while gaining the skills and experience needed to solve some of the world’s most complex challenges.
What You Can Expect from the Programme
This two-year programme consists of two 12-month rotations within your chosen digital discipline. The rotations are designed to give you broad experience across different areas of high-performance computing, while also allowing you to develop technical expertise to tackle the future’s toughest problems.
You will follow a dedicated technical development pathway, guiding you through the competencies required for your role. Additionally, you’ll complete our Ignite training modules, which focus on building your interpersonal and professional skills to help you thrive in any workplace.
Throughout your journey, you’ll be part of a strong support network, with guidance on career development and continuous opportunities to grow. You’ll also have the chance to network with other early careers professionals at BP through events and social activities.

- Ensuring that codes run effectively across a range of compute architectures, including CPUs and GPUs.
- Developing software tools to enhance our use of large Linux clusters.
- Creating visualisation tools for scientific data.
