Salary: £450 per week

Eligibility

SPARK is open to all first year law students on a three degree, second year law students on a four year degree, or penultimate year non-law undergraduate students. You are not eligible to apply to any other roles (Training Contract or IGNITE).

If you are successful on SPARK, you may be invited to interview for a Training Contract and receive an offer in the weeks after the scheme.

You need to be available for the week commencing 19th June 2023 and/or the week commencing 17th July 2023 as your SPARK scheme will take place in one of these weeks.

Experience and skills

You do not need to have prior legal experience or a law degree to apply to us. As SPARK may lead to a Training Contract, we will expect you to be a problem-solver with strong communication skills and commercial acumen. The competencies that we look for in our SPARK interns (and Trainees) include:

  • The details for the Training Contract are:

    Job Title: Trainee Solicitor
    Job Type: Fixed Term
    Location: 10 Upper Bank Street, London
    Salary: £50,000 (first year) / £55,000 (second year)

    SPARK Application process:

    Applications open on 15th August 2022 and close at 11:59pm on 9th February 2023. We do not recruit on a rolling basis, and we do not review applications until after the deadline has passed.

    Shortly after submitting your application, if you fall into one of the groups eligible to apply, you will receive an email from us asking you to complete an online Watson Glaser critical reasoning assessment. This takes approximately 30 minutes and should be completed within 5 days of receiving our email with instructions.

    The assessment centres for SPARK will take place in-person from the week commencing 27th February and 6th March 2023.
