Why join this Virtual Experience Programme?

At Herbert Smith Freehills, we are recognized as a global dispute resolution powerhouse. Our multi-disciplinary global disputes team of world-leading sector specialists and regional experts, partner with our clients to provide commercial insight and legal advice.

Every deal or transaction carries with it the risk of a dispute. Successful businesses require lawyers that can pre-empt the issues that may surface, take steps to minimize them and then react quickly and effectively when a dispute arises. Our ability to collaborate between offices and to quickly draw together large international teams means our clients benefit from 24-hour attention on time-sensitive matters.

The Global Litigation Virtual Experience gives you the opportunity to work on some of the challenges that we tackle on a daily basis. You will learn about the various steps involved in dispute resolution and assist with a business development opportunity. The tasks in these modules are challenging and that reflects the nature of the work our disputes teams do day to day. In real life, you would have the opportunity to discuss the issues with your supervisor and other colleagues so you would not be tackling the tasks alone.

We also appreciate that you will have different levels of experience and knowledge and that some of you will not have studied law – that is not a problem; all of the tasks (whether involving legal issues or not) can be tackled by applying general analysis and critical thinking skills. We have included some brief notes on some of the key legal concepts that do come up in the tasks or model answers.

If this sounds interesting to you, then participate in our Virtual Experience: we would love to hear from you.
