The ASM team is looking to immediately fill the following position:

With our SIPLACE SMT placement machines and DEK stencil printers we support electronics manufacturers all over the world on their path to the Smart #1 SMT Factory as we successfully implement Industry 4.0 concepts.

The Role:

The Printing process team is a small friendly team who run experiments and investigations to replicate customers applications of our printing product. These investigations take the format of research, continuous product improvement and development support. Working closely with other engineering teams to deliver requirements. You will analysis and present your findings through presentations and reports.

Your profile:

We are happy to train and develop you to be the best (and have a great team to support you!) In return you will bring the following skills and experience to us:

  • Currently studying for a degree in a relevant engineering field
  • Able to communicate effectively both face to face and in writing with people at all levels in an organisation.
  • Able to build stable and useful working relationships; able to co-ordinate effectively with others.
  • Able to develop skills in basic theories, practices or procedures in one or more ‘skill-areas’ through formal training.
  • Able to apply a logical and systematic approach when solving relatively complex problems.
  • Approachable and responsive to new ideas.
  • Able to organise own time and workload to deliver against tasks set by others.

Training and Projects

We’ll help you make the most of your placement by offering you on the job training with your manager, peers and development programme. We have a plan individually tailored to each placement in order to track your performance and help you to enhance your existing transferrable skills as well as your course specific skills.

On top of your day-to-day role, you also have the chance to get involved in a variety of projects. These projects are in addition to your job role and include team working, exciting project management, creative and innovative thinking and representing the business at STEM events. There are also opportunities to be involved in the development and release of our new technology.
