Internal Sales and Marketing Assistant (AMP)

Role Overview
Panasonic are market leaders in Air Conditioning in Europe, and like many other markets, the UK is one that has been constantly growing and developing. Unlike many other departments within Panasonic we are a relatively small department, and do a lot in-house, this gives you a fantastic opportunity to learn all aspects of the business and most importantly put your mark on this expanding industry.

Not only will you be a vital member of the team, but you will also get the opportunity to liaise directly with consumers, keeping them up to date with the growing business and the constantly developing product ranges.

You will have the opportunity to be exposed to all the different sectors within the Panasonic Air Conditioning team, from Sales and Marketing to understanding the nitty gritty of all things technical, you will never have a dull day in the office!

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Daily Social Media and website maintenance
  • Organising events and exhibitions
  • Manage seasonal promotions
  • Liaising with design agencies and external partners for events, media and promotions
  • Proof-reading press releases, case studies and various written materials for UK and Europe
  • Working directly with the Marketing Manager on a day-to-day basis
  • First point of contact for Panasonic accredited partners
  • Ordering, distributing and managing promotional materials
  • Budget management (cost allocation, invoice management, cross-checking accuracy between allocations and postings)
  • Updating records
  • Managing and storing partnership agreements

Experience, Knowledge and skills:

No specific experience or knowledge is required.
What we are looking for is somebody with a “can-do” attitude and who is pro-active, bringing new ideas to the team to increase sales.

Personal attributes:

  • We’re looking for someone who can take initiative and find solutions. You’ll have lots of responsibilities, so show us what you can do! You’ll have all the support you need, so it is on you to make the best use of it.
  • Ability to think critically and analyse activities to see what worked, what didn’t and what we can do to improve. You don’t need to be an Excel whizz, you get training for that, as long as you are comfortable with numbers, working on Excel and critical analysis - that’s all we want.
  • We’re looking for ideas all the time, be bold – we work in a constantly changing industry, so ideas are always well received.
  • Close attention to detail to ensure that while the ideas are great creatively, they also come across in execution.
  • “Team” is the buzzword we operate with. There are a lot of responsibilities in a small team and you should be able to work well with different people and deliver results.
  • Every day is different - we are a growing team so you will need to adapt quickly to this everchanging job role.
  • You’ll be working with a lot of different people at different levels, both internally and at our agencies and partners. You’ll need strong oral and written communications skills to help you push ideas through.
  • And to manage all your responsibilities, we’re looking for you to be good at prioritising and managing your time.
