Production Planner Placement
Job Overview
Collins Aerospace Systems, part of Raytheon Technologies, is on the lookout for a Production Planning Industrial Placement student to join the team in Wolverhampton on a 12-month contract.
Reporting to the Material Manager, your new position will be to ensure the shop floor has the necessary materials and machines for the assembly and test lines, as a means to support our military customers.
This is a new position in the organisation and a fantastic opportunity to make the role your own! Joining a team of 9 and supporting the machining shop, this position is primarily site based in Wolverhampton and full training will be provided.
Personal Characteristics/ Qualifications
- Current undergraduate student studying a related degree
- Understand forecast / planned Customer demand
- Develop a forward machining plan to support delivering Customer demand
- Validate schedule to capacity
- Look after the work order release in line with Build requirement
- Handle the escalation process when a deviation from plan occurs
- Be responsible for the engineering change introduction, product transfer and entry into service
- Work alongside; operators, production schedules, materials and equipment to ensure on time in full delivery to all customers
- Communicate with our customers
- Optimise planning parameters (PFEP) to achieve plan and inventory targets
The successful candidate will have:
- Knowledge of Excel (look ups, pivot tables)
- Great influencing skills
- Ability to work with multiple priorities which could be time sensitive
- You will be a keen problem solver and enjoy getting to the root cause of an issue and resolving it
- Experience in working in an environment which is looking to continually improve would be a great asset
