Marketing Coordinator – Renault Trucks Placement

Current degree requirements:

  • Studying for a digital marketing/communications degree or related business degree
  • 2 years completed – placement between 2nd & 3rd study years.
  • Academic grades on track for a First or High 2:1 on their chosen studies

Brief description of department:

The Brand & Communications department delivers all events & exhibitions, product communications, traditional & digital marketing, relationship marketing, internal marketing communications & dealer marketing within the UK & Ireland.

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to working within our busy Brand & Communications department. The successful candidate will play a major part in scoping out new multi-channel marketing communication opportunities within the business & putting those opportunities into action. They will be responsible for delivering, reporting & optimising a wide variety of projects.

They will support the Brand & Communications team with project management & administrative activities which will enable them to get a rounded experience of working within a B2B Brand & Communications department. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, that demonstrates an ability to learn quickly, follow (in some cases implement) processes, be agile, creative & curious as well as having a great eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will undertake projects to review, amend & improve the current company websites to optimise UX & SEO performance. They will be responsible for the dealer asset management systems, ensuring dealers are able to access & utilise marketing collateral. As well as project management support & lighter administrative tasks there is also the exciting opportunity to support the vehicle demonstrating department through vehicle movements management & assisting the team during customer visits to the Warwick HQ office.

Opportunity to liaise with the global marketing teams based in Lyon, & business areas with the UK. While doing this, they will get to learn about different areas of the department & the organisation, giving them a sound & broad understanding of marketing within a business environment, in readiness for their time after university. As part of their personal development plan over the placement, key projects will be identified throughout, based on their previous experience, newly learnt skills & enthusiasm for specific channels or business areas.

Projects may include:

  • Website management – page creation & optimisation to ensure optimised UX & SEO performance.
  • Dealer Asset Management web management – ensure marketing & campaign collateral is visible, accessible & communicated to dealer network & other departments.
  • Social media management – planning, post creation & community management for key social channels.
  • Digital advertising & social media content planning – working with the Digital Marketing Communications Manager to define strategy, plan content, write copy & manage asset creation for business areas.
  • Network newsletter creation - coordinating the copy & design of the national e-newsletter (3 issues per annum).
  • Competitor reviews - carry out a comprehensive review of key competitors & benchmarking digital activity against the Renault Trucks digital channels & deliver on new initiatives & ideas.
  • Support Digital Marketing Communications Manager & Events Manager in other marketing activities for all product areas e.g. New Trucks, LCV, Service Market, Used Trucks, Renault Trucks LCV, Service Market Transport Solutions, Recruitment Marketing, etc.
  • Liaising with external agencies & clients.

Other duties may include:

  • General project management assistance for department
  • Dealer support – managing dealer requests & working with internal designer to develop assets.
  • Web enquiry management – filtering & distributing queries to the correct dealers or department.
  • Project management/administrative duties – including proofreading, collating feedback from key stakeholders, data cleansing & optimisation.
  • Internal communication project lead – working with the Digital Marketing Communications Manager to define strategy, develop timing plans, create content plans & ultimately roll out a new internal communications tool.
  • Attending & contributing to department & dealer meetings.

Required Skills & Attributes

  • Good organisation, prioritisation & analytical skills.
  • Excellent level of written & spoken English.
  • Positive, creative & curious attitude – demonstrating high energy levels, appetite to learn
  • Able to communicate at all levels & a great team player.
  • Ability to work well under pressure & multitask in order to achieve or excel task deadlines.
  • Interested in current marketing trends - actively building marketing knowledge & able to bring new ideas to the table.
  • Good understanding of all aspects of digital marketing & sound understanding & appreciation of key marketing principles.
  • Experience in using, interpreting & analysing GA data.
  • Experience in SEO planning, optimising & implementation.
  • CMS experience is desirable.
  • Project management & good presentation skills.
  • IT (Microsoft Packages) & proofreading skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in a logical & practical manner.
  • Driving licence & ability to travel, stay away overnight & work some weekends in support of marketing event delivery
