Marketing Coordinator Placement

Current degree requirements:

  • Studying for a marketing / communication degree or related business degree.
  • 2 years completed – placement between 2nd & 3rd study years.

Key project:

Volvo Penta’s dealer network is formed by independent companies in charge of the aftermarket business. Authorised dealers sell our products and make sure that customers receive the right level of service to achieve the expected customer satisfaction. Parts and engine sales through this channel are essential for company profitability.

Working with the Dealer Business team you will be required to understand business demands and establish the correct incentives (discounts, offers etc) and marketing campaigns to gain business, enhance brand awareness and communication.

  • To understand the commercial side of the business
  • To follow up, maintain and improve current incentive plans
  • Maintain all social media platforms
  • Development and coordination of marketing material for shows and other events
  • To support and improve current communication actions towards dealers
  • Implement new marketing plan for 2022 and incorporate dealers plans
  • Manage communication with our internal team, any suppliers and dealers
  • Provide ongoing training and support to the network with their social media channels

Other duties:

In addition to the core projects, this role will also support the wider remit of the Volvo Penta UK team, with a range of tasks to support the team.

Competencies, skills and knowledge required:

  • High level of computer literacy, including all standard Microsoft packages.
  • High knowledge of social media platforms
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to present ideas in a logical & practical manner
  • Willing to travel, stay away overnight & work some weekends in supporting exhibitions
  • High energy levels; creative & enquiring
  • Ability to handle a number of tasks, along with core project, at any one time
