THE CURRENT OPPORTUNITY:

We’re currently recruiting bright, articulate people who share our values for our Summer Internship Programme. This would be for a minimum of eight weeks and could lead to a long-term career with us. The Summer Internship Programme helps us to recruit our leaders of the future with many of our colleagues working for further qualifications including but not limited to: Chartered Banking Diploma and CeMAP. For the eight-week programme you’ll be supported by a mentor within your department or district.

Our programme gives self-starters who have plenty of initiative, an excellent opportunity to learn about our truly unique approach to banking.

HANDS ON EXPERIENCE:

We have positions throughout our UK branch network and at our head office locations in London and Manchester, providing practical experience covering some the following areas:

• Customer satisfaction
• Team working
• Communication
• Financial analysis
• Problem solving and decision making
• Commercial awareness
• Time management
• Innovation and creativity

During your internship you’ll be given the opportunity to take on specific tasks or a group project with your peers to develop those important softer skills, such as networking, presenting, relationship building and team work.

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE?

We’re open to applications from people with a variety of backgrounds, including those pursuing college, university degrees or recent graduates.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

We’ll be reviewing applications on a rolling basis and following up with telephone interviews; if successful at this stage you’ll be invited to a virtual assessment.

• 22 November 2021 Review of applications begins
• 21 January 2022 Summer Internship Programme application deadline
• February/March Virtual assessment centre
• 27 June 2022 University students and graduates start
• 25 July 2022 School leavers start

Unfortunately, we’re not able to support any travel or relocation costs.
