This is your chance to own the development of your career working amongst some of Centrica’s award-winning brands with our Commercial & Marketing Summer Placement scheme.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
Individuals who enjoy a challenge and aren’t afraid to work hard and be pushed outside their comfort zone. You’ll also need:
- Expecting a 2:1 degree in any discipline (2:2 if combined with a Master’s)
- Right to work in the UK
- Initiative and problem-solving skills
- Customer focus combined with a good understanding of how to deliver commercial value
- Free to start your internship on 21st June 2022
- Looking to start your Graduate career in 2023
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Centrica is a leading home services and energy supplier. We keep millions of homes and businesses running and work hard to support the changing needs of our customers. Join us, on our Commercial & Marketing Summer Placement programme, and you can help tackle some of the most important challenges we are facing, now and in the future.
We value tailoring your development above everything, providing a fantastic programme where you will be able to work on individual tasks and group projects with other Summer Placement students, designed to help you gain a broad variety of skills. These include working within areas such as Brand, Product Development, Marketing, Insight and Sales to name a few, where the customer and commercials are the heart of the placements.

YOUR PLACEMENT
You will have a dedicated line manager who will be on hand to support on your individual tasks throughout the programme. Collaboration is one Centrica’s values and you will also work with other Summer Placement students on a group project, presenting your results back to our senior leaders.
Your individual responsibilities could range all the way from gathering customer insight, to coming up with new product ideas; or developing material for TV and social media campaigns. And with the group project there’ll be plenty of opportunities for you to enhance your commercial awareness and develop your leadership and business management skills. It’s a fantastic chance to work with exciting Centrica brands like British Gas (which includes Hive and Local Heroes) and Centrica Business Solutions.
In return you’ll get to develop career-boosting skills and could earn yourself a place on our 2023 Graduate programme if you really stand out from the crowd.
