Increasing your network matters

If learning from senior finance professionals matters to you. You matter to us. This short-term placement offers a unique opportunity to gain an insight into the various aspects of the finance function. Run by our Finance Strategy and Development team, you’ll be mentored by current graduates and encouraged to contribute from day one.

We only have a small number of summer placements available. So, if you’re successful, you’ll be highly visible across the finance function and have the chance to get your potential noticed. In fact, many summer placement students, successfully apply to the graduate scheme and now hold senior positions within the finance function.

Overview

  • You’ll receive a salary of £17,000 pro rata
  • The scheme runs for ten weeks from June to August 2022.
  • This opportunity is based in Milton Keynes.

What you’ll be doing matters

You’ll carry out one, ten-week placement as an assistant management accountant or an assistant financial accountant. Part of a team affecting critical decisions throughout our organisation, you’ll work alongside some of the most respected finance professionals in the industry. You’ll gain valuable experience of a variety of financial disciplines including reporting and analysis, periodic accounting and business planning.

You’ll also have the opportunity to take part in experience days, site visits and shadowing. At the end of your placement we’ll ask you to put together a short presentation to reflect on your experiences and help improve the scheme for future students. We’ll consider you for the following year’s graduate scheme as well.

The entry requirements matter

You must be in your penultimate year of university and be on course to achieve at least a 2:2 in any degree subject.
