Women in Business programme

Find out what it takes to make it to the very top of PwC from the perspective of one of our female leaders. Gain insight into what we do day‑to‑day, by partnering with an associate who’s on our current training scheme and experience working life with us. Open to all, regardless of gender, this programme is to inspire and support students seeking an experience in professional services, and is part of our continued commitment to improve our female representation by showcasing some of our inspiring female leaders. The programme focuses on supporting you through our application process, developing skills and provides an insight into the opportunities available at PwC.

What you'll do

During this three-day paid placement you’ll work closely with a variety of people at all grades to learn what it's like to work at PwC, experiencing first hand the nature of the work that we do.You’ll choose which office you'd like to come to and which area of the business you're interested in. You’ll spend time with lots of different people, from graduates to senior leaders, attending meetings and working with our clients and teams to get real exposure to our business.

Our Women in Business programme will be a 3-day paid programme which will be run from the 28th to 30th June. You will need to be in the UK to complete this programme.

You should also have done plenty of research into the area of PwC you'd like to join. We strongly advise you to apply for the business area and office that interests you the most as any subsequent offers will be made for this area only.

Financial Crime Analytics

This team sits within our Forensics practice and involves the analysis of vast quantities of data using cutting-edge technologies and advanced statistical techniques in order to discover insights for our worldwide clients. Our remit is broad and our aspiration clear: to be the unavoidable voice in the ongoing and urgent fight against financial crime. There can be no place in a trusted financial system for terrorists, drug traffickers, market abusers and money launderers. To stay ahead of changing crime, we have to keep changing ourselves by constantly innovating and drawing on the very latest technologies to broaden our expertise.

Deals Modelling and Analytics

You can expect to gain experience across a number of our teams including Business Recovery Services, Corporate Finance and Forensic Services. Examples of the services we offer our clients are:

Corporate Finance - we offer a full range of financial advisory services, from acquisitions and disposals for corporate and private equity clients, to advice on infrastructure, energy and public sector projects

Business Restructuring Services - we advise under-performing UK and European companies on restructuring, refinancing, accelerated mergers and acquisitions and insolvency - finding the best way forward for the business and its stakeholders

Forensic Services - we help our clients to prepare for, respond to and emerge stronger from a wide range of business risks and issues. These include major public enquiries, rogue trader or bribery allegations, and commercial and transactional disputes across all industry sectors.

What you’ll need

You'll need to have or be on course for a 2.1 degree or above in any subject. We determine whether you're on course for a 2.1 based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study.
