About the Bright Futures Programme
We’re looking to recruit undergraduates with flair and motivation to join our Bright Futures programme, offering you a huge amount of invaluable business experience. At Pernod Ricard you can actually make an impact, and many of our placement students have returned to Pernod Ricard.

Placements will commence in June 2022, and will be based in our West London offices on Chiswick Business Park. We offer a fantastic package including £18,000 salary, generous annual leave entitlement and a product allowance to spend on our brands.

About the team

The UK Off Trade encompasses grocery multiples, symbol groups, eCommerce as well as cash and carry wholesale routes to market. It is a highly competitive and concentrated market with large scale customers and competitors providing a fast paced and dynamic trading environment. The Off Trade is a data rich environment which enables a relatively sophisticated analytical approach to managing customers. The key dynamics include the continued growth of the grocery multiples, the growth of convenience and the development of digital platforms.

The UK market is a well-developed, competitive environment with a number of large competitors selling to very well developed trade segments. The On Trade consists of over 120,000 licensed premises supplied by a number of large national and many small regional wholesalers. Although the On Trade Channel in totality has been under pressure in recent years, the markets that Pernod Ricard operate in remain comparatively buoyant. Thus the channel is an important contributor to the profit of Pernod Ricard in the UK as well as playing a vital role in building the equity of our brands with consumers.

About your role

Assist the eBusiness team in driving PRUK’s 2X market growth ambition with key ecommerce customers, through the 3 key pillars of the eBusiness strategy – Best in Class Content, Actionable Data/Insight, Measurable 12 month activation plans with key customers.

You will work as part of a growing eBusiness team, reporting in to the Pure Play Customer Account Manager, working as the day to day support for the team across all aspects of driving profitable growth in Amazon & Ocado form sales to content and insights.

Finally, you will feel your impact on the small but fast moving eCommerce team and gain valuable insight into various commercial, marketing and finance aspects of the business. The eBusiness team’s objectives are to recruit, trade up and drive our portfolio of brands to the ecommerce shoppers. Your role is essential to ensuring ongoing projects are delivered on time and to KPI’s.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day support for all aspects of driving Grocer.coms, Amazon & Ocado businesses from commercial to content and insight.
  • To become quickly adept at managing Amazon’s CRM platform Vendor Central. Logging & responding to case logs to enable smooth business processes for NPD, cost changes, items descriptions and image uploads.
  • Trained in how to run reports and move data from retailers data platforms to our internal measuring system
  • Responsible for the successful roll out & evaluation of sampling and review campaigns within both customers based on own understanding of priority brands.
  • Support test and learn hypothesise with the quick sourcing of data from various customer platforms.
  • Building small scale case studies on the impact of portfolio, media and promotion, sharing with the team a continual evaluation and understanding for marginal gains on subsequent campaigns.
  • Daily monitoring of our key customers ecommerce sites tracking our own and competitor activation and cataloguing in an orderly manner.
  • Develop a tracker for our media campaigns that quickly allows budget holders to have a regualr view of spend & Sales.
  • Develop understand of Amazon’s Media and Search platforms and manage the day to day running of our brands activity on Amazon
  • Curate & broadcast a monthly eBusiness team update capturing market activation and commentary to feed out to the business reminding them of key activations

What do we require?

  • Be studying a recognised sandwich undergraduate degree
  • Be studying a relevant undergraduate degree
  • Be on track to achieve 2:1 or above
  • Be available to work for 12 months
