SHIFT: Monday- Friday 8:30am- 4:30pm

What will you be doing:

In this role you will be predominantly marketing focused with exposure to other areas of our cross-functional customer business team.

The successful candidate will gain real-life experience on what it’s like to work in a cross-matrix environment, gain an in-depth understanding of how we drive B2B2C sales through Customer Marketing, have hands on budget-management experience and understand the importance of commercial-thinking in marketing.

The Global Key Accounts function is a close-knit, fun group that go over-and-above to deliver extraordinary sales. This role will be working predominantly focussing on one of our largest Global accounts that has high exposure throughout the CooperVision business. We are looking for the candidate to really integrate into our team and become one of us, challenge our thinking and our status quo and come in with sleeves rolled up and ready to learn.

Main focus areas for the role:

  • Hands-on campaign experience from insight to creation to execution
  • Understanding category insights, driving marketing campaigns
  • Support in building briefs for projects
  • Progress reporting
  • Roll out
  • Category thinking and insights sharing
  • Owning global insights hub
  • Creating insights playbooks and soundbites
  • Consolidation and analysis of category-led pilot learnings
  • Internal stakeholder management and communication
  • Participate in EMEA workstream meetings and monthly Customer Marketing Connect
  • Host internal monthly marketing updates liaising with Global Key Accounts sales team are kept up to date with activities
  • Support pulling together the monthly Global Key Accounts and presenting to team members in market
  • Direct local market support for a key European market

Ongoing responsibilities:

  • Budget management
  • Maintenance and monitor our Global Customer Marketing Budget and the Global budget shared with our customer and communications
  • Support in collating and tracking local market budget expenditure
  • Reporting on marketing excellence
  • Following up on ROI (return on investment) and other metrics of success for initiatives
  • Build best practise case example to share amongst the Customer Marketing community
  • Ad hoc operational support
  • Support Global Commercial Operations in ensuring that we fulfil customer requests

What skills and experience should you have?

We’re looking for someone with a proactive mindset who can bring new ideas to the table by being confident and using their own initiative. There is a need for you to manage multiple tasks on a daily basis with great attention to detail, so having strong organisational and time management skills will certainly be required.
Excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to express opinions in a respectful way is important for anyone in this role. Be curious, be willing and be yourself.

Experience/Education

Experience working an in optical setting e.g. working in an optician is a plus but not necessary. We require the successful applicant to be fluent in English however additional languages is plus but not necessary.
Currently undertaking an undergraduate degree in a business, marketing or communications-based course or a health/science related course looking to bridge into the business world
