Rent-A-Car is VWFS’s newest business within a business. Their goal is to offer flexible usage models and make renting a vehicle stress free and easy for our customers. Rent-a-Car is growing its national coverage rapidly and needs your help to make it happen. The role of a Undergraduate Analyst would not only be to collate and analyse important decision making data, but to present this data to important stakeholders and decision makers.

This role has potential for huge exposure within the business and would be ideal for anyone with great excel and analytical skills, typically studying towards a business degree. You would be able to take away real life examples and exposure of starting a business from scratch and the knowledge you can gain from those working with you and mentoring you will be invaluable through the rest of your journey through University and into the workplace.

What you will be responsible for:

• Rent-a-Car revenue, pricing and utilisation performance analysis
• Recommend assumptions used in Investor Business Plans regarding revenue by model, seasonal utilisation, sales channel mix/performance
• Generating and presenting financial performance summaries for VWG brands.
• Analysis of key data to provide investigation and commentary around key metrics highlighting trends and opportunities to improve operational effectiveness.
• Support the Network Development Manager in compiling viability studies for potential new locations
• Support the Launch, Training & Technical Support Manager in co-ordinating launch activity
• Preparing training materials for new launch sites when highlighted.
• Presenting to key stakeholders on a regular basis.

About you:

• Studying towards a business or reporting focussed degree
• Excellent excel skills would be useful
• Excellent attention to detail
• Data driven and analytical in thought process
• Team member but also motivated to work alone
• Works well under pressure and can manage deadlines
• Able to prioritise own workload
