Revenue Management Pricing Placement - 12 Months - July 2022

We have a fantastic opportunity for an intern to join our Revenue Management Consolidated Centre (RMCC) - Pricing team on a 12-month placement. This placement is ideally suited to an undergraduate who is looking to gain understanding of how revenue and pricing strategies are executed and maintained on an international scale. In this unique internship you will learn how to maximise revenue and profits for multiple hotels by supporting the Assistant Director and Cluster Revenue Managers in the strategic coordination of revenue management reporting, processes and procedures.

A bit about the job

As an intern, you will be an integral part of the team and will play an active role in our continued success. Some of the more specific responsibilities you will be taking on are detailed as follows;

  • To create, update and share the full suite of RMCC reporting on a daily/weekly/monthly/ad hoc basis to all relevant parties.
  • Ensure professional and efficient utilization of all systems, in line with company best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure effective information gathering and analysis is conducted in order to identify and maximise on all possible opportunities and minimise any risks.
  • Integrate with other functions to ensure we exceed our customer’s, owner’s and shareholder expectations.
  • To follow the RMCC training program to learn the role of Revenue Manager, in order to ensure consistent support for all hotels in the RMCC.
  • Ensures consistent process & procedures for all hotels are being managed in the RMCC by covering all Revenue Analysts’ production tasks as and when necessary.
  • To manage/contribute/participate in projects which will improve the efficiency or effectiveness of the RMCC department, reports, process, or procedures.

What are we looking for?

As with any job, we do have certain criteria that you will need to meet in order to be considered for this amazing opportunity. These are detailed as follows;

  • Must be in your second or final year of undergraduate study at the point of application
  • Must be able to start in July 2022 and available for the full 12 months.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK. If you are a non-UK national then you will need to be studying at a UK university in order to be eligible to undertake a placement here.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least an interest in the hotel/hospitality industry if not relevant to your degree or any work experience you might have.
  • A Hospitality or Business Management related degree is preferred, however we will consider applicants from other disciplines providing you are able to demonstrate a strong desire to progress a career in this area.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Exceptionally organized and comfortable prioritizing tasks and working to deadlines.
