Do you want to work for one of the world’s leading media and entertainment companies in the development, production, marketing of entertainment and news?

To join one of our 12-month placements you will be:

  • Currently be studying at University and applying for a Placement year in your 2nd or final year or graduating in Summer 2022
  • Looking for work experience immediately after completing A-Levels or equivalent course or an Apprenticeship
  • Eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship from July 2022-July 2023
  • Fluent in English

What will I be doing?

  • Monitor and manage digital screens, including content updates, formatting and any technical issues
  • Liaise with the Film, TV, Home Entertainment, News and Parks divisions to update digital screen content
  • Work with Comms Team to create content for printed media & internal channels for major staff events.
  • Lead on the creation and management of the internal International newsletter.
  • Provide on-going support for our internal social network,
  • Updating our internal comms site NBCUNow, including troubleshooting issues for employees, liaising with key stakeholders
  • Identify popular content and update our community to encourage sharing and engagement
  • Assist with photographing and videoing key internal events
  • Support the department with various projects and campaigns
  • Manage databases, log ins, subscriptions and other platforms we utilise.
  • Providing day to day administrative support including scheduling and coordinating internal and external meetings, conference calls and preparing meeting material
  • Assist with distribution to all internal comms channels when needed
  • Assist department on all events including internal campaigns, Staff
  • Screenings, International Offsite Conference, Town Halls, holiday parties by facilitating the organisation of presentation material, logistics,
  • Communicating with various offices, catering and other details required

What do I need to bring to the role?

  • Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word to a high standard
  • Photoshop (essential), Illustrator (preferred), InDesign (preferred), social media knowledge (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc.)
  • Interest in media and digital communications
  • Exceptional eye for detail, design and proofreading skills
  • Strong interpersonal, flexible and collaborative approach to work well in a team and across businesses

What will I learn from this opportunity?

  • Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines
  • How to use adobe suite to create digital and print content across the business
  • The skill of excellent communication, both written and spoken using the businesses tone of voice
  • Awareness on how to run complex events and
  • Highly organized, skilled at multi-tasking and prioritising workload
