We have an exciting opportunity for an undergraduate to join our dynamic Innovation Enablement team as a Software Developer and Programmer.
The Innovation Enablement team form a main part of the Innovation Engine in Computacenter at a group level. The market has become more software-driven and therefore we are offering this opportunity to talented undergraduates with a passion for coding who can ‘bring our solutions to life’. This is a 13 -months Industrial Placement opportunity based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire with a potential for Europe-wide travel, remote working may be required.

- Create showcases to bring to life our global strategic investments
- Assist in ideation sessions with live prototyping
- Responsible for demonstration creation including our demonstration portal
- Provide innovation consultancy across the business and for our customers

What do I need to apply?
We’re seeking individuals who are studying at undergraduate level across all degree disciplines and are in the penultimate year of their degree.
In terms of characteristics, we are looking for applicants who:
- Can demonstrate a willingness to work with any development platform, including: Microsoft suite (eg Azure, Power products) , backend development (e.g. NodeJS), automation/scripting (eg Python), web development, Cloud technologies (Azure/AWS/Terraform)
- Has the ability and drive to pick up new languages or techniques as needed.
- Is confident to put their own ideas into any task and be a self-starter
- Displays a strong work ethic in a dynamic customer facing environment.
- Mobile Application Development (mainly Flutter)
- Familiarity with 3D engines. Ideally with Unity or Blender.
- Someone that can work autonomously and independently complete tasks when needed.
