Our Technology Industrial Placements: Software Engineering
The best way to find out if a career at Accenture is right for you is to apply for one of our Industrial Placements. As well as getting a taste of what it’s like to work with us, you’ll gain valuable live project experience and enjoy a competitive pro-rata salary.
We offer a choice of 12-month placements from across our Technology business, joining the Software Engineering stream, you’ll get to work with some of the most advanced technologies on the market, develop industry-leading specialist skills and help transform our clients around the world. This will include designing, building testing and deploying strategic solutions for our clients.
As a key member of project teams, you’ll work side by side with our clients in a variety of roles, understanding the challenges and requirements, helping to formulate a plan of action and collaborating with local and global teams to deliver innovative solutions.
You’ll start with a formal induction and a two-week training programme. We’ll then assign you to a project where you’ll build your skills on the job. By the end of the year, you’ll certainly have gained some valuable experience and hopefully have an offer to join us when you graduate.

Where you’ll work
The programme is based in London, however you may be delivering projects on client sites anywhere in the UK, so you’ll need to be prepared to travel and be flexible on location.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for you to demonstrate a passion for technology in either your studies, work experience or extracurricular activities, as well as an understanding of how it can be used. You’ll also need to know a thing or two about programming languages. Overall, we’re looking for a willingness to try new things, a passion for self-improvement and a strong work ethic.
Ours is an industry that’s driven by client demand. Which means that we have to place people in the industries and geographies where our clients need them most. As well as being flexible, an open mind coupled with patience is a real bonus.
