Placement Designer - UI/UX + Prototyping

What we want:
An intelligent, innovative and resourceful student who wants to create powerful brand experiences with the latest technologies. You will be working on designing large scale web and mobile experiences for high-profile clients, gaining experience in a dynamic agency environment. Ultimately we need someone who is keen, highly motivated, creative and extremely passionate about digital design, with the ability to work closely with the tech team and clients to create prototyping experiences and assist in their development with the tech team. You will report directly into the creative director and will also be involved in client pitches and ensuring the internal brand guidelines are improved and implemented throughout the business.

The successful candidate will have:

• A grounding in Adobe XD, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma or other vector design tooling.
• Knowledge of Figma, InVision or other online prototyping tool.
• Ability to apply different design styles, colours and themes as appropriate for our clients.
• A clear and natural flair for creative design, including layout/composition, typography, and aesthetic coherence.
• Ability to communicate clearly within a collaborative team.
• The ability to work independently and remotely where necessary.

Advantageous skills could include:

• Creative flair and a good understanding of branding
• Knowledge of web design best practices
• Knowledge of mobile/responsive and interactive design
• An understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript would be a benefit

These positions are suited to students who are currently studying for an undergraduate degree and are required as part of their course to undertake a work placement/industry year.

Interview Process

To ensure we find the ideal candidate, our interview process is made up of 3 steps.

• Review of any portfolio work that the applicant has
• Telephone interview
• Face to Face interview
