Placement Analyst at 4C

Job Summary

4C is looking for outstanding individuals who can join us to work on major consulting projects with blue-chip clients. We are looking for individuals who have the potential to progress to leadership roles within our firm. Successful applicants will join consulting teams working with clients throughout the UK and abroad. Key skills include the ability to effectively carry out research, analyze and solve complex analytical problems, work closely with others, lead and persuade others and implement effective solutions.

Main Objectives

The Analyst Intern will play a crucial role in the team and support the proactive identification of opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvement. You will work alongside experienced consultants gaining a unique insight into procurement processes and transformation projects – as well as our approach to consulting across diverse market sectors.

Key Tasks

During your internship you will be assigned a key live project to work on at 4C. The project status may range from initial prospecting, such as bidding support, live project activities or any supporting activity required to ensure the successful delivery or our consulting and transformation services.

Specific tasks would be confirmed closer to the project timeline and once we have had a chance to meet you.

Areas of responsibility

Your assigned project may require you to carry out any of the following activities:

  • Performing cost analysis and savings modelling
  • Researching, structuring and solving complex analytical problems, often using both standard software packages and bespoke tools developed by 4C
  • Preparing and supporting Requests for Information/Requests for Proposals
  • Preparing presentation materials (e.g. slides, reports) for stakeholder communication and meetings
  • Conducting market research, contract compliance reviews and ad-hoc problem solving where appropriate
  • Liaising with stakeholders to obtain and interpret information
  • Working with client staff and executives to develop and implement improved processes and methods
  • Ensuring adherence to 4C’s sustainability commitment and policies in all work carried out
  • Promoting a commitment to sustainability across the 4C client base wherever possible, through the implementation and introduction of policies and best practice to achieve this
  • Supporting other 4C team members and teams in sharing best practice and technical/market knowledge

Required skills

  • First class analytical skills
  • Strong verbal reasoning and numerical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example, take ownership and responsibility for work and complete tasks
  • Communication skills: The ability to articulate results and ideas in a concise manner using a variety of media and formats, be persuasive and convincing in front of a challenging audience
  • Capacity to deliver outstanding work to tight deadlines and manage a diverse workload
  • Able to motivate themselves and others using a collaborative approach
  • Enthusiastic to work with others in a team and to learn and develop
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages such as Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Location

Head Office is London based, but your posting will depend on the client projects we have at the time.
