Media Developer Student Placement
The ASM team is looking to immediately fill the above position:
With our SIPLACE SMT placement machines and DEK stencil printers we support electronics manufacturers all over the world on their path to the Smart #1 SMT Factory as we successfully implement Industry 4.0 concepts.

The Role:
This placement within the technical training team will involve the creation of training material focused around E-learn utilising multiple media sources. This could be photos or videos utilising well known tools to manipulate, or work on a 3D model then importing all into the E-learn creation software, where text to speech can be added to enhance the information.
Current team member: My job within the customer support group here at ASM is to create interactive training material for global engineers to learn and follow. This gives us great opportunities to consistently design and research new products which can be implemented worldwide (such as online animations, manipulation of CAD data, and virtual reality based training).
Training and Projects
We’ll help you make the most of your placement by offering you on the job training with your manager, peers and development programme. We have a plan individually tailored to each placement in order to track your performance and help you to enhance your existing transferrable skills as well as your course specific skills.
On top of your day-to-day role, you also have the chance to get involved in a variety of projects. These projects are in addition to your job role and include team working, exciting project management, creative and innovative thinking and representing the business at STEM events. There are also opportunities to be involved in the development and release of our new technology.
