Materials Scheduler Placement

We are looking to recruit a Network and Desktop Support Placement student for 12 months within the Network and Communications department at our office in Caterham, Surrey. We are charged with designing, maintaining and developing our internal and remote IT infrastructure and supporting the needs of 200+ users.

The role will give the successful candidate hands on experience of Information Technology. This includes supporting our Systems Administrators and Communications Engineer with installations of equipment and software and resolving user issues, as well as the opportunity to get involved with ongoing IT projects.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Be studying a Computer Network and Systems related degree
  • A basic understanding of networking (IP address and DNS)
  • Strong communication skills, such as active listening
  • Strong work ethic and drive.
  • All applicants must demonstrate the following:
    • A genuine interest in the construction industry
    • Teamwork
    • Commercial awareness
    • Problem solving skills
    • Time management

  • Be currently studying a construction related degree in one of the disciplines listed above
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • A genuine interest in the construction industry

Please note that this role is an IT Network and Desktop Support role, not a software programming role.
