Tax Summer Internships

Help businesses find better ways of doing tax whilst reaching your potential as a fresh-thinking professional.

At EY, no question is too small, too ambitious or too imaginative. We use our curiosity to ask better questions, that inspire better answers. That’s how we build a better working world.

Whether you join us in Tax, in the Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa. Tax Centre or in People Advisory Services – Mobility and Reward, you’ll start developing your understanding of tax laws before getting to work on real client projects. As a member of our team, you’ll start building your confidence by learning from diverse colleagues. You’ll set your sights on the role for you and work towards achieving your goals. Here, your career is truly yours to build. Experience our world. Your way.

We help local and global entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals and organisations manage every element of their business’s tax. And as a function, Tax has changed more than ever in the past five years.

Not only is Tax broader in its operations, but it’s also more digital. From bots that do our number crunching to artificial intelligence that inspires our innovations, Tax is no longer bound to Excel, it’s boundless. Tax is one of our most central business areas and we work across our entire organisation to shape strategies of the future.

What programmes can you join?

Our integrated team of technologists and tax professionals bring fresh perspectives to longstanding operational problems facing Tax. We work with businesses of all sizes to develop innovative approaches that transform their Tax functions and use of technology.

What will you be doing?

You’ll build a career that’s yours to own. With infinite opportunities to lead, learn and transform, we’ll empower you to build a world as unique as you. You’ll be:

  • Meeting with clients, mentors and coaches
  • Contributing to real client projects
  • Managing your own work, time and deliverables with support from your team
  • Understanding what it means to work in a global organisation within a diverse team.

Are you eligible to apply?

If you’re in your penultimate year at university, or if you’re already in your final year but will be doing a one-year Master’s degree, or taking a gap year, this internship is for you.

We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will however, need to be working towards an honours degree in any subject- some programmes will require a subject relevant to the business area, have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths and three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent) to be eligible to apply.
