National IT Placement (AHEAD Project Coordinator)

The Global IT system landscape of ALDI SOUTH is undertaking a transformation under the management of the International Transformation Organisation (ITO) department.

There are two role Project Coordinator roles available; in the CDMO Team role, you will be part of the Country Deployment team that will support the release of various applications within GB/IE. In the Stores Team role, you will be part of the Country Deployment team that will support the release of various applications within GB/IE, specifically related to the Store Operations area.

Within your placement, you will be involved in projects within various disciplines, ranging from project management and change management to supporting the architecture and integration topics of ALDI’s IT solutions. You will engage with a range of national and international colleagues, take ownership across a variety of tasks and provide technical and administrative support to the infrastructure coordinator as required.

Ideally you will be working towards a 2:1 in an IT-based degree with proficiency in all MS Office programmes. You will be willing to take responsibility and have a pragmatic, goal-oriented approach. The ideal candidate will also be open minded, able to prioritise tasks and have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

From the moment you start at Aldi, we’ll look after you properly. You’ll get £25,375* for the 12 months you spend with us, together with 4 weeks’ holiday allowance (plus bank holidays). If the role fits, we’d love you to apply for a permanent role after you graduate.

*Based on a 50 hour contract.

The National IT department

The National IT department is at the very heart of Aldi. We're made up of small high-performing teams, and you can expect plenty of exposure plus hands-on experience of an IT department within a global company. Typically, you could join us as part of a technical team supporting the live business, part of a large scale project team or even have responsibility for a smaller scale project by yourself.

Many of the opportunities available will depend on what's going on with the business at the time. We have opportunities in various exciting areas of IT, including: Hardware and Systems, Business Intelligence and Reporting, E-commerce, Store Payments and Ahead Project Coordinators.
