The Global Business Coordination team plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between the IT and Commercial sides of the business, ensuring a collaborative approach is employed in defining how technology can help us to craft "Everyday Amazing" Customer Experiences and shape Aldi's future.
Working across the international business with exciting opportunities to travel, you'll be helping to lead multiple digitally focused projects to improve customer experiences, internal processes and systems, and deliver improvements across the areas of Marketing, Customer Service, eCommerce and Digital Content.
On this Placement you will be exposed to the forever growing world of digital products, and will collaborate with both the IT and the Commercial sides of the business. We are looking for someone who likes to be up to date in the digital world, and will play a key role in helping select the best solutions to shape Aldi’s future.
You’ll gain exposure to various areas within the department, such as global strategy development & implementation, training & testing, processes & planning as well as technology development & standards.
You'll also gain valuable project management skills and build strong stakeholder relationships in a fast paced environment where two days are never the same. This, combined with working for one of the leading global retailers, is an opportunity not to be missed.
From the moment you start at Aldi, we’ll look after you properly. You’ll get £25,375* for the 12 months you spend with us, together with 4 weeks’ holiday allowance (plus bank holidays). If the role fits, we’d love you to apply for a permanent role after you graduate.
*Based on a 50 hour contract.
To be eligible to apply, you’ll need to be working towards a 2:1 in any discipline on a sandwich degree course. You’ll also have a minimum of 96 UCAS points (240 if using the old tariff) from your top 3 A-levels (excluding general studies). Please note we also accept 63 Scottish Highers (150 points if using the old tariff) as an equivalent to UCAS points. It’s important you have the right to work in the UK. And, while you don’t require access to a car, you’ll still need a driving licence.
At Aldi, we’re committed to giving talented students the responsibility and opportunities to have the best start to their career. So, whichever Placement you choose you’ll be in the thick of the action from the start.
You’ll join the 5th largest retailer in the UK and one of Rate My Placement’s Top 100 Undergraduate Employers and over the year, you’ll experience early responsibility as well as rare exposure to the internal workings of Aldi. With determination and extraordinary focus you’ll learn a lot about yourself, as you tackle brand new situations and prove your worth in our fast-paced retail environment.
Yes, it’s demanding – but we provide incredible support. Plus, you’ll have the chance to apply for a permanent role after you graduate.
