Supply Chain Management Placement

This is your chance to get a real taste of Supply Chain Management, working in the team responsible for getting the products from Buying to our Distribution Centres across the UK and Ireland on time, every time.

We move millions of pallets of products each year via air, sea, road and rail from all four corners of the planet, from biscuits in Montreal to mangoes from Senegal.

Within the placement, you can expect to spend time with all the teams within a dynamic Logistics team who look after the various elements of the Aldi supply chain. You will have real responsibility that will culminate in a tangible bottom line value being added to a major global business within your time on the placement. This is something that will certainly set you apart when returning to your final year of study!

Aside from ensuring everything received by our Regions is in pristine condition, we work tirelessly with the Buyers to ensure market leading supply chain costs are achieved, therefore a keen interest in how international supply chains operate is a must.

From the moment you start at Aldi, we’ll look after you properly. You’ll get £25,375* for the 12 months you spend with us, together with 4 weeks’ holiday allowance (plus bank holidays). If the role fits, we’d love you to apply for a permanent role after you graduate.

*Based on a 50 hour contract.

To be eligible to apply, you’ll need to be working towards a 2:1 in any discipline on a sandwich degree course. You’ll also have a minimum of 96 UCAS points (240 if using the old tariff) from your top 3 A-levels (excluding general studies). Please note we also accept 63 Scottish Highers (150 points if using the old tariff) as an equivalent to UCAS points. It’s important you have the right to work in the UK. And, while you don’t require access to a car, you’ll still need a driving licence.

About Aldi

At Aldi, we’re committed to giving talented students the responsibility and opportunities to have the best start to their career. So, whichever Placement you choose you’ll be in the thick of the action from the start.

You’ll join the 5th largest retailer in the UK and one of Rate My Placement’s Top 100 Undergraduate Employers and over the year, you’ll experience early responsibility as well as rare exposure to the internal workings of Aldi. With determination and extraordinary focus you’ll learn a lot about yourself, as you tackle brand new situations and prove your worth in our fast-paced retail environment.

Yes, it’s demanding – but we provide incredible support. Plus, you’ll have the chance to apply for a permanent role after you graduate.
