Business Change Coordinator Summer Internship

Duration: 6 weeks (July – August)

You’ll have either just completed your second year as an undergraduate or your third year moving onto a Masters degree.

We’re changing up the future

We’re on a mission to build the UK’s finest digital infrastructure and unleash Britain’s potential. We’re connecting communities, boosting businesses, and giving everyone access to superfast broadband. We’re also changing up the industry - we might be growing fast but we still behave like a start-up, with an open and inclusive environment where people can be themselves, speak up and make time for what matters.

What’s in it for you?

This is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead on and deliver a project within a specific division at CityFibre. You’ll get invaluable hands-on work experience, learning from our talented people whilst still adding real value to the business and helping us to transform communities across the UK.

We’re also offering a competitive salary which will be pro-rata across a six-week period.

What will you be doing?

You will be supporting the Business Change Manager and wider team in the successful delivery of business change activities across CityFibre. This will include tasks such as capturing and sharing lessons learned, working with department heads to identify and prioritise key business improvement areas with a view to creating a process improvement plan, helping to develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans (supporting the execution of these where needed) and identifying resistance and performance gaps, working to develop and implement corrective actions.

What will you bring to the role?

You’ll be on track for a 2:1 (or have already received this grade if you’re moving on to a Masters) in either Business Management, Psychology, Marketing, Communications, Business Change or Project Management and have a good understanding of change management principles, methodologies and tools.

We’re also looking for you to have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – the ability to clearly articulate messages
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to tasks
  • The ability to quickly establish strong working relationships
  • The ability to work as part of a wider team, collaborating on tasks to achieve the end goal
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills

Our unique culture

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer; we celebrate diversity, we believe everyone has a voice and we’re committed to creating an inclusive environment for all. Even though we come from different backgrounds and do different jobs, we’re united by The CityFibre Way - our unique code of behaviours that inspires how we think, act and work. We back each other, think smart and act fast, and we’re passionate about giving it our best to build a legacy together.
