The Opportunity

We are looking for a Photography studio assistant with an emphasis on retouching. As an assistant there will plenty of opportunity to get involved in all aspects of in-studio based product photography and post production.

The primary focus is to support the 2 main photographers although there is an opportunity to take ownership of your own area of the studio handling high volume work seeing output through from start to finish!

Overview of the role

  • Product photography retouching
  • Clipping path creation
  • Composition image building from various stand-alone images
  • Photoshop visuals
  • In-studio product photography (COVID dependent)
  • Opportunity to assist on a location shoot (COVID dependent)

You will be or have:

  • Second Year Bachelor University Student seeking a placement and intending to return to full education after the placement
  • Strong Photoshop skills
  • Good knowledge of colour modes
  • Strong motivation to achieve, well organized and structured approach.
  • Good team player, happy to get stuck in and take on any challenge
  • CaptureOne knowledge useful for opportunities to get involved in studio shoots
  • Ability to use other Adobe applications would be an advantage but not essential
  • Good time keeping, communication and organization skills are a must have
  • Be able to adapt to flexible working hours as required
  • Flexible approach – to have the ability to multi-task, be open to new methods and ways of working
