Degree Requirements: To be eligible to apply for this role, you must be in your penultimate year of study, studying an undergraduate or an Integrated Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, Mathematics/Statistics, Data Science/Data Analytics, or Software Engineering.
Location: GSK House (Brentford, West London). Please note: your Summer Placement may be online in 2021. If this is the case, we will provide all equipment needed to complete the placement with us. Duration: 8 - 12 weeks (approx.)

Under new leadership and through exciting new partnerships with cutting edge tech companies we are reinventing how we serve our patients, healthcare professionals and our consumers. As a Tech summer placement we expect you to bring some innovation, fresh thinking, high energy and even some disruption to GSK ways of working.
As a Tech summer placement, your time with us will be truly what you make it. You’ll find yourself in a real role, adding immediate value to our Tech function. You can expect to work collaboratively to implement our tech strategy and deliver on our ambition to empower our business through business-led, tech-driven opportunities. Beyond this, you will learn about the latest technologies, business processes and the strategies behind delivering key solutions in an agile environment.
We have opportunities for those of you wanting to get ‘hands-on-keyboard’ experience in a global business – for example, using your programming know how to help to roll out our RPA (robotic process automation) strategy or perhaps working in one of our Ux labs. You could also find yourself aligned to a specific team, such as Cyber Security. During the placement you will be part of an international community of like-minded graduate tech talent, who alongside their day jobs help shape and run events for the community, such as; tech debates, podcasts, learn-a-thons, internal ted-talks and hackathons.
If you perform well in your placement, you could be fast-tracked onto our Tech Future Leaders graduate development programme following your final-year studies (to start September 2022).
Additional Information: Placements usually start in June/July for this programme.
