Operations Support Placement

Job Title: Operations Support (Work Placement)
Time Commitment: 37 hours a week
Department: Aftermarket MRO
Location: Wolverhampton
Start Date: 7th June 2021
Vacancy Type: Student - Sandwich/Industrial Work Placement
Salary: £17,500 per annum

Job Overview

Incumbent’s responsibilities will generally focus on the following:

Key Objectives:

  1. Support the Operational Leadership team in resource management
  2. Improve and stabilise effectively for MRO Civil
  3. Create a robust resource allocation process
  4. Remove non-value added waste from productive biased processes
  5. Support to improve overall efficiency across the team

Operational performance:

  • Support daily reviews on order book execution
  • Provide support in stream lining weekly performance reports
  • Analyse customer quote approval trends to estimate levels of risk within the order book to support 100% OTD performance

Productivity/effectively improvements:

  • Populating and managing productivity/effectively matrix
  • Imbed effective QCPC tracker within day to day reviews to capture time lost
  • Highlighting potential for resource allocation within the team to make the most of available capacity
  • Identifying and creating focused improvements on removing waste within key processes

Cross Value Stream Communications:

  • Support cross OE/Aftermarket asset requirements such as test rigs with efficient processes potentially agreeing on service level agreements
  • Attend and take actions for integration reviews to support a further imbedding of Aftermarket within the overall Value Stream

Qualifications

Personal Characteristics/ Qualifications

  • High working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good familiarity with Word and Access
  • Good communication and team working skills
  • Self-starter and Ability to work on own initiative

Other

  • Previous experience with SAP would be beneficial
