IT Support Placement

We are looking for an outstanding team member to support the Preston supplies manufacturing site. To work in the End User Support Team, learning IT Support across all IT tasks and activities. Primarily supporting Zebra staff in a manufacturing site that also consists of warehousing, repairs and office departments, but also some remote support work with all countries where Zebra staff are located.

This role is internal customer facing, handling Ticket Queues for PC/Desktop Support and Telephone / Mobile Phone support, alongside working with the EUS team members in EMEA (Located in UK, CZ, France, Netherlands, Russia and South Africa). Also includes support of Zebra devices in Preston as well support for Networking and Server / Computer environments and Projects.

Some duties include –

• Working closely with Zebra Staff both on the telephone and face to face
• Using Service Now ticketing system to understand review and resolve user issues, incidents and problems
• Cross-functional learning opportunities with MIS and Business customers
• Building PC’s / Desktops for Zebra staff
• Ordering and managing delivery of mobile phones to Zebra Staff
• IT Audits of stock and new orders

Qualifications needed for IT role –

• Some experience in IT support and understanding of IT preferable
• Current University student studying for an Undergraduate Degree within a Technology subject
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good listening and presentation skills
• Must be able to effectively coordinate across various groups and functional teams both inside and outside of the business.
• Self-starter who enjoys working in a team to accomplish goals
