Media & Software Engineer Placement

Do you want to work for one of the world’s leading media and entertainment companies in the development, production, marketing of entertainment and news?

To join one of our 12-month Internships you will be:

  • Currently studying at University and applying for a Placement year in your 2nd or final year or have just graduated
  • Looking for work experience immediately after completing A-Levels or equivalent course or an Apprenticeship
  • You must also be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship from July 2021-July 2022
  • Fluent in English
  • We strongly advise that you do not apply to more than 1 Internship role to ensure that you are considered for the Internship that you are more interested in and your skills are aligned to

What will I be doing?

  • You will work together with an established, talented and experienced development team working with Agile Methodologies to help build out functionality on .NET / AngularJs / Azure business systems that support key business functionality.

What do I need to bring to the role?

  • You are an aspiring software engineer who cares about building maintainable, readable, testable software that solves real user problems
  • You enjoy getting your hands dirty in designing, analysing and troubleshooting large software systems
  • You are a resourceful self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

What will I learn from this opportunity?

  • You will understand the fundamental design principals behind scalable applications and the importance of testing and security
  • You will have been part of a software engineering team that iteratively plans and delivers software updates according to Agile methodologies.
