To join one of our 12-month Internships you will be:

  • Currently studying at University and applying for a Placement year in your 2nd or final year or have just graduated
  • Looking for work experience immediately after completing A-Levels or equivalent course or an Apprenticeship
  • Eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship from July 2021-July 2022
  • Fluent in English
  • We strongly advise that you do not apply to more than 1 Internship role to ensure that you are considered for the Internship that you are more interested in and your skills are aligned to

What will I be doing?

The intern role is designed to support the 3 managers in all the day-to-day requirements, supporting the entire Content Group team operationally. It is a dynamic and pivotal team in the business and we work on a range of content unique to your average big studio titles, namely Film, Docs, TV, Kids and Special Interest. From setting up crucial screenings on our online viewing platforms, raising POs and updating Production Trackers, to fulfilling Festival requests and ensuring Content Protection measures are adhered to, this supporting role will help leverage efficiency throughout the team. If the opportunity arises, there could also be a supporting admin & coordinator role to play on any productions that we would film in-house during the placement year.

What do I need to bring to the role?

  1. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  2. Very high level of attention to detail.
  3. Able to learn quickly and manage your time effectively.
  4. Solid experience with Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel
  5. Enthusiasm for the film & tv industry as a whole

What will I learn from this opportunity?

The intern will become a super user of our online secure screening systems and be the go-to person for these requests throughout the placement. They will become familiar with some financial processes such as raising POs, setting up new vendors & customers and raising invoice requests. Most importantly, they will learn how the media industry works operationally; how we bring content into the business, why and how we carry out quality checks (QCs), how we strive to protect our content, always, and who we communicate with along the way, which can be anyone from artists, talent and agents to licensors, producers and vendors. They will become familiar with all the processes and systems we use internally to get a title from delivery to release.
