What are we looking for?

As the successful Culinary Development Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the Training and Culinary Development team within the Kitchen Channel on a day to day basis, as well as providing support for the Kitchen Channel, Retail Channel and Consumer Products (CP) in live cooking, training events and recipe development.

This includes:

  • Supporting the Senior Home Economist with projects in conjunction with Cooking Category Teams to develop and maintain “best in class” training and culinary experiences in all venues.
  • Responsible for the application of ‘Safer Food Better Business’ Hygiene Standards for the Training Showrooms, including spot checks in all showrooms, progress report to Senior Home Economist.
  • Design and produce recipes and culinary content for Training Courses, Brand Marketing (incl Social Team), Home Connect Team in conjunction with Senior Home Economist.
  • Support in creating and delivering food experiences at events/shows and external venues
  • Sourcing and ordering of food for training courses, ordering equipment as needed. Ensuring full utilisation of all fresh food including advance menu dishes for Contracts Team visits, freestanding courses and utilisation to prevent waste and control budget.
  • Testing of all food preparation appliances of BSH in order to learn how to get the best out of them and identify the appliance strengths.
  • To constantly monitor the UK food and nutrition market, translating these trends into product, feature, training or marketing development demands
  • To provide BSH UK with the latest and most experienced knowledge of food storage, preparation and cooking in order to keep BSH UK the leading company in cooling and cooking.

Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their enthusiasm and interest in Culinary Development and will also be working towards or have recently graduated with a 2:1 Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics, or in a related topic with a practical food element.

You will also have:
