Summer Scheme

Savills Summer Scheme is an opportunity for cognate (RTPI or RICS accredited degree course) second year students, and third year non-cognate students to gain four/six weeks paid work experience and learn about one of the following disciplines:

Surveying (Commercial, Development and Residential), Rural, Capital Allowances (suitable for QS), Property Management, Valuation, Urban Design, Building Surveying, Food & Farming (non RICS/RTPI accredited), Forestry (non RICS/RTPI accredited), and Town Planning.

We also offer students with the opportunity to apply to one of our European offices. Previous placements have been in Madrid, Paris, Milan, Warsaw, Frankfurt, and Ireland. If you successfully gain this placement, you spend 2 weeks in our Headquarters (London), and then 4 weeks in the European office in line with Covid-19 government guidelines at the time. Travel and accommodation costs are covered.

Our aim is to provide a taste of the work of Savills' graduates and show how the property industry works. There could be the opportunity to go on site visits, attend client meetings and conduct research. We hold departmental talks to learn about other areas of the business and arrange for you to meet Directors from across Savills for lunch, again in line with Covid-19 government guidelines at the time. Sporting and social events are also organised for summer students to meet our current graduates. Ultimately you will live the life of a Savills Graduate.

Savills Summer Scheme demonstrates how we work, and what Real Estate means. It is a valuable chance for students to strengthen their CV whilst gaining first-hand experience of what life at Savills is like. The scheme is also the best way to gain a position on our Graduate Programme. If you perform well whilst on placement, you could gain a deferred Graduate position for the following year.

• Who should apply - Second year cognate undergraduate university students and third year non-cognate undergraduate university students.
• Length of placement – 4 weeks (6 weeks if you want to be considered for one of our European offices)
• Application dates: 1 March – 31 March 2021
• Placement dates: June Placement – 7 June – 2 July 2021
• July Placement – 5 July – 30 July 2021
• August Placement – 3 August – 27 August 2021
