Summer Internship

See inside
& Get a head start

This is the start of a whole new era in the history of Rolls-Royce.

We're transforming what was once a traditional engineering company into a digital-first, industrial technology leader to deliver on our purpose of connecting and protecting society, with sustainable solutions that meet the world's vital power needs.

It's an incredibly exciting time to be here. And if you join us for a 10-week Summer Internship, you'll be right at the heart of the action – working with the latest technology, alongside diverse and talented people, as you discover the sheer variety and impact of our work.

What you'll be doing

During your time here, you'll get an amazing insight into the way we work and the culture of Rolls-Royce. You’ll have the chance to work on live projects as you immerse yourself in our business and experience for yourself the digital mind-set and curiosity that under-pin everything we do.

It's a fast-paced, high-tech environment to learn in, with lots of variety and plenty to inspire you. You could find yourself involved in anything from exploring sustainable supersonic flight to developing ethical guidelines around the use of artificial intelligence.

But wherever you are and whatever you're doing, you'll also learn a lot about yourself and start to develop a clearer picture of where your own ambitions lie.

What you'll need

We know that diverse teams make for better thinking and we want you to bring something different to Rolls-Royce. So while you may be studying something directly related to our work, like Electrical, Software or Materials Engineering, you could be working towards any STEM degree, or a joint-honours degree that combines a STEM subject with another like Business or Economics.

Whatever your background, you'll need to be passionate about your work and the future of sustainable power. You'll also need to be open-minded, curious, collaborative and creative in your approach to problem-solving. This is your chance to gain a fantastic insight into our business. But it'll be up to you to make the most of it. So you must be full of initiative, adaptable, eager to learn, and driven to succeed.

What you'll get

We’re one of few organisations on the planet with the creativity, courage and agility, the scope of technology and the breadth of expertise to tackle the biggest challenges facing the world. And on a 10-week internship with us, you'll get the chance to experience that first hand.

Perform well, and further down the line, it could also lead to a place on one of our graduate programmes, launching your career with an organisation where you’ll be included, supported, recognised, developed and empowered to succeed.

We recruit, select and develop our people on merit, regardless of age, disability, gender identity or expression, race/colour/nationality/ethnic or national origins, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation or any other characteristic protected by applicable legislation.

About Rolls-Royce

This is your chance to join us at the start of a whole new era in the history of Rolls-Royce. A fundamental transformation of our business that's every bit as momentous as the times we've re-invented ourselves in the past.

In recent months, our industry has faced some monumental challenges. And as an organisation, we've had to make some tough decisions. But those challenges have also created incredible opportunities, strengthened our resolve and sharpened our focus.

Now it's time to seize those opportunities and move forward. To expand beyond our famous engineering capabilities, explore new territory, push the boundaries of a digital world and deliver on our purpose of creating sustainable solutions that meet the planet's vital power needs.

We’re one of few organisations in the world with the creativity, courage and agility, the scope of technology and the breadth of expertise to take on such an enormous challenge. And if you join us – with a science, technology, engineering or maths (STEM) degree – you could have a big part to play in that too.
