R&D Placement

• Research & Development is a huge area of the business, with the largest placement student intake, spread across 4 sub-areas: Category, Science & Technology, Product Development/Sensory, and Packaging.
• In R&D you can directly contribute to the improvement of world-renowned coffee drunk by millions across the world daily.
• Whichever role you are placed into, you will be using problem solving skills to overcome key challenges as JDE looks to optimise its products. This could be product efficiency, the way the coffee is brewed, the taste or the design of the packaging.
• You will have a range of programs with a core individual project that you will lead on.
• Previous interns have even been able to develop patents based on their work!

Job requirements

• You must be studying Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Food Science, or similar.
• You must be a current student looking for a 12-month placement starting in July 2021.
