TV: Insights + Analytics Placement

Do you want to work in Television? Are you naturally curious? Are you a problem solver who enjoys working with numbers? We want to hear from you!

You will support and work within the Insights+Analytics team, running and analysing data on channel and programme performances across all our brands and territories. This is a role with real responsibility, where your work can have a tangible impact on the business.

Your role will include:

  • Managing the company ratings dashboard, responsible for maintaining, updating and checking data and analysing trends and changes in a regular update email
  • Producing key weekly, monthly and quarterly reports companywide to a high standard
  • Responsibility for competitor and industry news tracking for all channels and territories to feed into the weekly competitor update
  • Tracking premiere performances across channel brands, maintaining the premiere database and providing end of series reports for the brand teams
  • Using Video on Demand (VOD) data from multiple sources, creating reports to inform the business of the success / usage of VOD of programming content
  • Tracking the status of programme data, ensuring it is fit for purpose across all of the channels in the UK and liasing with the scheduling department and third party research agencies
  • Assisting with ad hoc research projects when necessary

Eligibility

  • Must be an undergraduate student in a sandwich year course returning to study in Autumn 2022
  • Must have the right to work in the UK already in place
  • Studying for a degree that is relevant to the role applied for
  • Preferred, an A*- B grade in GCSE Maths & English

Requirements

  • Must be highly numerate with excellent written communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to edit own work
  • Strong MS Office skills (in particular Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with data sets, drawing conclusions and writing up / presenting findings
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and undertake various administrative duties
  • A passion for TV, media and programming!
