In Technology, we work closely with all parts of the bank to understand customer and business needs and deliver cutting edge solutions in a dynamic environment. Our highest priority is to delight our customers with the delivery of valuable, responsive, reliable and secure products and services.
The aim of this eight week internship is to give you a taste of what it’s like to work here, along with valuable skills and experiences that you’ll bring into your future career.
We’ll reward you with a salary of £21,500 pro rata.
The programme starts with an induction, where you’ll learn about the bank, meet your fellow interns, and get the chance to talk with colleagues from around our business.
You’ll then begin a unique eight week placement, where you’ll get involved with our live day to day work, and take part in a business project. This will give you the opportunity to complete research on a topic and come up with recommendations for improvement or change to support our ambitions.
During the programme, you’ll also work on a Social Impact Project. This will help you to develop keys skills covering team working, planning, creative thinking, business plan writing and problem solving, all while contributing to a valuable cause.
For the full eight weeks, we’ll pair you with a ‘buddy’ and a line manager, who’ll help you grow your network and provide guidance and support.
At the end of the placement, we’ll assess you on what you’ve learned. Complete this successfully, and you’ll be offered a place on our 2022 Software Engineering graduate programme, where you’ll carry the skills you’ve learned from your internship forward, taking the next exciting step in your career.
