If the answer is yes, our Virtual Work Experience Programme could be part of your journey to becoming a commercial solicitor at Pinsent Masons.
In this programme, you will get a chance to work with Pinsent Masons' lawyers across three teams as you get involved in advising our clients on a variety of commercial matters. Our Virtual Work Experience Programme will enhance your skills through practical training and feedback via model examples, and give you a flavour of what working at Pinsent Masons is like.

What will you do in this Virtual Experience Programme?
Foreign company carrying on business in the UK
Outline the advantages and disadvantages of registering as an overseas company and incorporating a new company in the UK. Aim to spend approx. 1.5 to 2.5 hours on this task.
Incorporation of a company
Provide the client with the information they require to incorporate a new entity in the UK. Aim to spend approx. 45 mins to 1 hour on this task.
Execution of a contract
Assist the client in executing the subcontract. Aim to spend approx. 45 mins to 1 hour on this task.
Advice about the effect of a “time-bar”
Inform the client about any restrictions on raising a claim within the Extension of Time clause. Aim to spend approx. 1 to 1.5 hours on this task.
Nomination of Arbitrator
Communicate your analysis on the suggested nominated arbitrator for the case. Aim to spend approx. 1.5 to 2.5 hours on this task.
Draft Witness Statement
Help draft and request further evidence for a witness statement. Aim to spend approx. 1.5 to 2 hours on this task.
This programme is self-paced. It takes approximately 5-6 hours to complete.
