eCommerce Industrial Placement

This is your chance to get a real taste of retail, as you're exposed to every facet of our business over the 12 months of your placement.

As part of your placement in eCommerce you’ll get a fantastic, well-rounded view of an online business. Proactive, switched-on, insightful. That’s you. You know what’s going on in the digital marketplace and you’re fascinated by the latest ventures and cutting-edge thinking.

After the placement, your new-found digital skills will be transferable across any organisation. (If we haven't snapped you up, that is). There's no denying it - this experience can be daunting. But it can also be a fantastic opportunity to learn and be inspired by a company that's so different to all the others.

We are currently based in Tamworth whilst our Head Office in Atherstone gets a makeover, but the plan is to move back once the building is fully geared up to cope with our growth.

Projects and Web Product Optimisation

This Industrial Placement will focus on the design, planning and delivery of changes to the eCommerce product across our responsive site and app through conversion rate optimisation testing and development projects.

We are looking for students with enquiring minds who are able to question the why, what and how of our customers to help deliver process and technology changes to evolve the Aldi online customer experience. This Placement would suit students study degrees in Business Information Systems, Computing and Systems Development, Web design, Digital Technology Solutions or Business Administration.

Business Analytics

This Industrial Placement will focus on analytical tasks such as demand forecasting, management information and business insight and analysis.

We are looking for students who are very analytical, able to spot trends and who are truly passionate about data. This Placement would suit students studying degrees in Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Management and Trend Forecasting.

Fulfilment

This is your chance to gain real life experience within the Fulfilment sector of an ever-growing eCommerce department. You will be working amongst teams who are responsible for warehouse order management, automation enhancements and carrier management.

No two days will be the same! With our extensive range of products and increasing customer demand, you’ll be tasked to sharpen your problem-solving skills to ensure our quality company objectives are always prioritised and cost-effective solutions are maintained.

During your Industrial Placement, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a number of our external suppliers ensuring both parties consistently meet requirements, whilst being trusted to own your work area and offer suggestions for process improvements and efficiencies.

Involvement in both ongoing and future projects will enable you to gain essential project management skills, whilst liaising with the National Supply Chain Management and Services team and the wider business will provide you with the knowledge of how National Corporate Retail Logistics can be explored to adapt to the eCommerce world.

This Placement would suit students studying degrees in Operations Management, Chartered Management, Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management. If you are passionate about working as part of a team and solving problems by critical thinking, this placement with our eCommerce Fulfilment team would be perfect for you.
