Rolls-Royce Motor Cars - Leather Shop Process and Project Planning Placement

We believe in creating an environment where our placement student really can learn by doing during their time with us and where they are given their own areas of responsibilities from the start. That’s why our experts treat you as part of the team from day one, encourage you to bring your own ideas to the table – and give you the opportunity to really show what you can do.

Our leather manufacturing team are looking for an intern to join them in January 2021 for 6 months. During your placement you will support the Leathershop Planning department who specialise in the Process and Project Planning of the Rolls-Royce Interior Trim Leather Parts.

What awaits you?

  • Working in project teams on set deliverables.
  • Project Manage the introduction of new materials and processes.
  • Support the planning and implementing the facilities, tooling and instructions for new models.
  • Support synchronising new models into existing manufacturing structures.
  • Industrial Engineering & Process Improvement Practices.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles and knowledge of the company’s own VPS / CIP principles.
  • Manufacturing feasibility and realisation of design and engineering requirements within the concept development process
