Data Analytics Placement

What is Data Analytics at EY?

As part of the Advisory Analytics Team, we deliver leading edge business intelligence and analytics for our clients, to drive performance improvement across multiple services and operational functions.

What will you be doing?

  • Developing your data management, extraction, analysis and visualisation skills
  • Working with cutting-edge technologies and visualisation techniques
  • Sharing analyses and solutions with clients

Are you eligible to apply?

We're looking for students that have a passion and interest in technology and/or those that have some experience of: SQL, Python, R, VBA, SPSS or Minitab and experience with databases, data analysis/manipulation and reporting.

If you’re in your penultimate year of university, studying for an honours degree (in a STEM subject or Computer Science) that includes a one-year placement, this programme is for you.

You’ll also need a minimum of Level 2/GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language & Maths, and three A-levels, 5 Highers or equivalent.

Business skills training

You'll have access to a broad suite of learning resources to develop your consulting and technical skills including our EY Badges programme which offers structured learning leading to accreditation in a range of of subject domains including programming, data visualisation and blockchain.

How’s it structured?

Your year starts with an EY induction and then you’ll join teams, working on real client projects. By the end of the placement, you’ll have a head start in your graduate career and big ideas about how you could be leading the client projects you’ve been part of. Plus, you’ll have learned a lot from your colleagues and growing network. Best of all, if you do a great job you may be offered an Analyst role on completion of your degree.
