SAP Master Data Management Placement

Swisslog - data-driven & robotic solutions for logistics automation

Future-ready warehousing and distribution solutions enable businesses to stay ahead of the competition. As a growing global company, Swisslog have a presence in more than 25 countries, supporting our customers to meet their business goals. In partnership with KUKA, we cover the entire automation value chain with robotic and data-driven automated solutions that create exceptional value for businesses.

Like more than 430,000 other companies, Swisslog uses SAP software to power its operations.

SAP is good, but only as good as the data it is fed – heard of ‘garbage in – garbage out’?

Master Data Management is the key to controlling the quality of the data that drives our business processes – design, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, sales, customer service – all rely on accurate, complete master data for suppliers, parts, customers etc.

If you would like to find out more about this increasingly important aspect of IT/business systems, and want to contribute to helping us streamline some of our SAP data processes, this placement might be for you !

We’re looking for someone to take over from our current intern, working with other Swisslog MDM resources to improve data validation processes across our global business – clear verbal and written communication skills are a requirement as you’ll be liaising with colleagues in Scandinavia, Continental Europe, Asia, and Australia.

You’ll need to be enthusiastic about getting into the detail of what makes SAP tick – in return you’ll gain knowledge and experience that you can take to any other business using SAP or any other ERP system – potentially a valuable highlight for your CV!

We deal with large volumes of detailed data, so if you’re not already good with MS Excel, you soon will be – it’s invaluable for data analysis and validation, and you’ll also learn how it can be used for data migration.

We are a small team, with a never-ending list of activities and wide responsibilities, so you’ll need to take your share – we will be relying on you to be proactive, to manage multiple tasks/activities, and to collaborate effectively with your new colleagues.

Things don’t always go according to plan, so you’ll need to be able to react accordingly to respond to business needs, and not be afraid of asking for help.

After your year with us you will have a good understanding of master data concepts and the core logistics business functions of SAP to supplement your CV, and will have helped improve data validation processes that will significantly benefit our global businesses.
If this is how you’d like to spend your placement year and you meet our requirements below, please submit your CV and a covering letter.
