Human Resources / Recruitment Specialist Placement

A fantastic opportunity to gain a 12 month placement in a global business servicing our prestigious clients in recruiting and managing their temporary workforce.

Randstad is one of the largest recruitment agencies in the world with 38,000 employees globally and a turnover of circa €24bn.

At Randstad Inhouse Services (RIS) we work in strategic partnership with our clients, often as part of their onsite teams, to provide a recruitment and temporary workforce management solution.

We are looking to hire three HR/Recruitment Specialists at various locations across the UK to work on our client sites. You will work as part of a team and will be required to travel to local sites as and when needed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of candidate and new starter paperwork
  • Telephone interviewing candidates
  • Payroll administration
  • Taking references
  • Arranging and assisting with the selection process
  • Assisting in the management of the temporary workforce including employment relations, managing the performance, absence and conduct of the workers and dealing with grievances or complaints.
  • Assisting with resource planning
  • Assisting in the preparation of management information reporting where necessary

This role will provide an insight into HR and recruitment processes. You will also gain exposure to the commercial aspects associated with the running of a successful international recruitment business.

Full training will be provided in Employment Relations and Recruitment and Selection.

For our Leeds and Birmingham roles we would require candidates to travel by car between multiple sites. In order to use a company pool car, candidates must be at least 21 years of age and hold a driving licence. We would also consider candidates with their own car as long as they have business insurance.

For the London role there is no requirement to drive to site and therefore no minimum eligibility criteria.
